I hope your visit to India goes well. I do ...Peace! I hope your visit to India goes well. <BR/>I do not like the term 'non-cleric' because I don't think people should be defined by what they're not. Lay brother and cleric brother are good, because the emphasis is on brother. We must be respectful of cultures, but I think there is a problem when issues of education and status are defining forces for our life, an ever present temptation. Besides, in our Capuchin life today is education solely the prerogative of clerics? Thankfully, no. But then, is education too much of a status giver, no matter whether the brother is lay or cleric?
